Cian is a Paralegal in our Private Wealth team. He recently read for the BCL (a master’s degree in law) at the University of Oxford, graduating with Distinction and was awarded the Law Faculty Prize in Taxation of Trusts and Global Wealth for best performance. Prior to his postgraduate studies, he completed his undergraduate law degree at Oxford Brookes University, graduating top of his cohort with a first class law degree, earning multiple academic prizes.
Cian began his professional career at Shoosmiths LLP in October 2022, joining the High Net Worth team as a Paralegal. He transferred to Rothley Law with his colleagues in June 2023 where he continues to specialise in taxation and trusts matters. In addition to this, Cian’s practice includes the drafting of simple and complex Wills, lasting and general powers of attorney, and tailored legal documents such as trustee resolutions, loan agreements, and various types of deeds for trusts. He also prepares inheritance tax returns, grant of probate applications, and assists with and advises on lifetime estate planning and estate administration, particularly for high net worth and complex estates.
Cian frequently collaborates with senior lawyers, financial advisors, and accountants, blending technical expertise with a client-focused approach to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.
