Sarah heads up the Birmingham Private Client team. She started her legal career at the Office of the Supervision of Solicitors at the Law Society in 2001.
Sarah trained and qualified at Thursfields and joined Higgs & Sons in December 2008, gaining experience and a promotion to Associate there.
Sarah advises clients in connection with Wills, powers of attorneys, estate planning, the administration of trusts and estates, the constitution or winding up of nil rate band discretionary trusts and deeds of variation.
She regularly deals with the administration of high value estates and has a wealth of experience in dealing with foreign, business and agricultural assets and in claiming the appropriate inheritance tax reliefs. Sarah has also dealt with insolvent estates and complex intestacies.
Sarah’s skills and experience enable her to advise effectively on complex family and financial circumstances offering an efficient and friendly service. She has well established clients who appreciate her straightforward, uncomplicated and personable manner resulting in loyal clients and referrals to their friends and family.
Sarah is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) having obtained full membership in 2011.
She has been named as an ‘Associate to watch’ in the Chambers HNW guide in 2020 and 2021.
