Venetia joins from Shoosmiths where she was one of the earliest members of the Court of Protection team having joined in October 2016. Venetia has developed extensively in that time, qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2021.
Venetia’s knowledge and experience includes supporting professional and lay Deputies in Property and Affairs general management, Court applications, Personal Injury trusts, Statutory Will and gifting applications, Powers of Attorney and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
Venetia has a special interest in Welfare Benefits advice and lower tribunal appeals. She has a strong track record in securing great awards for clients and knowledge shares this with the wider Court of Protection community by providing training on this topic.
Venetia is often the first port of call for clients, their family and care teams and is quickly effective in building firm rapport with her clients to meet their individual needs and goals, providing stability and guidance during difficult and turbulent times in their lives.
