As a Senior Associate in our Private Wealth team, Emma advises on a variety of complex private client matters. She is a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP).
She helps individuals and families plan for the future. Her work ranges from advising on wills and lifetime estate planning, to the more sensitive questions around powers of attorney.
Emma has extensive experience advising trustees, guiding them through their responsibilities and the practical day-to-day running of trusts, working closely with a trust’s other professional advisors, and is skilled at preparing bespoke trust documentation to action trustee decisions. She also supports executors and administrators through the probate process and the full administration of estates, including more complex cases, for example where assets are based in more than one country or where Will Trusts are established.
Before qualifying as a solicitor in September 2016, Emma studied Law with European Legal Studies LLB at King’s College London, and spent a year studying at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. After achieving a distinction in her professional legal qualification course, Emma completed her training contract at Taylor Vinters LLP and subsequently worked as a solicitor in the Wealth Protection team at Shoosmiths LLP.
