Rebecca is a Partner in the Court of Protection team, specialising in Property and Financial Affairs. She qualified in 2015 and has worked exclusively in this area since.

Rebecca’s practise focuses on supporting adults and children with acquired brain injury, sustained as a result of birth injury, clinical injury or trauma.

Rebecca enjoys working with children and young adults, she works closely with families to provide advice and guidance in order to offer a holistic approach to her clients.

Rebecca is appointed by the Court of Protection as Deputy for a number of individuals from a range of backgrounds. She actively looks for ways to help and empower her clients to be as engaged in their affairs as they can be.

Rebecca has extensive experience supporting clients and their family’s going through the secondary trauma of a litigation process, and then finding their new normality once this is over. She is experienced in working alongside the litigation team to assist with management of high value compensation awards, and can act as an expert witness.

Rebecca is regularly instructed as litigation friend in Statutory Will applications, and has experience working with other professional Deputies as well as the Official Solicitor.

Rebecca is actively involved in the wider Court of Protection community and sits on the committee of The Professional Deputies Forum. Rebecca regularly engages in training and development of junior Court of Protection practitioners, to promote good practice and the continued provision of specialist expertise to vulnerable clients.

Rebecca has been noted as an Associate to Watch in Chambers and Partners since 2018. The most recent addition describes her as having “… an extremely friendly, personable approach and a great skill for simplifying legal and financial speak into easily understandable language.”

She has also been recognised as a Legal 500 Rising Star for a number of years, with one source saying “Rebecca clearly cares about what she does and balances professionalism with a sensitive human touch making clients feel at ease and well looked after. I’d recommend Rebecca without reservation.”
