Following the acquisition of Shoosmiths Wealth Protection, Disputed Wills & Trusts and Court of Protection teams earlier this year, establishing the Birmingham office further supports the continued growth and regional expansion of the private client law firm, whilst providing a central location for clients to access the personal, tailored support offered by the team.

Rothley Law is the only private client firm with a national reach and has an experienced team in place that offers a range of services across Private Wealth, Disputed Wills and Trusts and Court of Protection. The Rothley Law team have significant experience working with, and supporting, different clients from business owners to families for many different personal circumstances.

Driven by its purpose ‘The team you want on your side’ Rothley Law is dedicated to finding the right solutions for all clients. The team’s people centric approach combines empathy with expertise, offering clarity and realistic results for clients and their families at times in their lives that can be complicated, difficult or challenging.

Being a national firm with well-placed locations also gives clients the accessibility and reassurance of familiar, dedicated contacts, backed by a larger team of experts and a national network of trusted advisors, ensuring all clients have access to consistent, tailored, personal service and support.

The team have an enviable reputation and continue to build long-term relationships with clients as well as being recognised in industry rankings including the Legal 500 2024 rankings, for all disciplines.

At the heart of the longstanding team are three former Shoosmiths partners – Adam Draper, Melissa Maple and Lucy Taylor and Legal Director Charlotte Dunn, who have worked together for many years and who continue to nurture the ‘people helping people’ culture. This culture is also evident in the workplace which provides colleagues and employees with opportunities to develop and grow via training and professional support which the opening of the Birmingham office will further enhance, acting as a key location for team collaboration and networking.

"This is a very exciting time for the Rothley Law team as we continue to grow and expand the dedicated private law practice. Our team have years of experience behind them and work collaboratively to go above and beyond for our clients – from offering second to none service and support to delivering the best outcomes. The official opening of our Birmingham office ensures we can continue to offer dedicated support to all our clients." John Verrill, Chairman of Rothley Law
